In recent days 5 wild elephants repeatedly came to Ma Da Commune, in Vinh Cuu District in the southern Province of Dong Nai, at night time in search of food.

Local people reported that the elephants came at night to find food and destroyed crops before returning to the forest.

This is the first time that wild elephants came near local peoples houses, spreading fear among local residents.

The local authorities are working to find appropriate measures to drive these wild elephants back to the forest and support local farmers to make up for their losses.
