At the meeting, delegates reviewed the task implementation of the Vietnam-Cuba Friendship Association in the first nine months of this year and put forward orientations for missions in the last three months of 2021.

At the event, Chairman of the National Assembly’s Committee for External Relations Vu Hai Ha was elected as President of the Vietnam-Cuba Friendship Association for the 2021-2025 tenure. Ha will replace his predecessor Truong Thi Mai, Head of the Party Central Committee’s Organization Commission, since she will undertake a new duty in the future. 

Speaking at the meeting, the official expressed delight and honor at being elected as the association’s president for the 2021-2025 tenure. He also vowed to do his utmost to uphold the tradition of the association and to strengthen special friendship between the two countries
