Addressing the 5th Patriotic Emulation Congress of the justice sector for the 2020-2025 period, Ngan suggested justice organisations should renew and integrate the emulation work into the implementation of political tasks, with a focus placed on accomplishing the legal system to meet the nation’s requirements for socio-economic development and international integration.

The Ministry of Justice must work closely with competent ministries, sectors and the National Assembly’s agencies to improve quality and forecast capacity of bills, decrees and resolutions to be submitted to the NA and the NA Standing Committee, map out a development strategy for the justice sector, complete institutions in service of the socialist-oriented market economy, and build a socialist law-governed state, she added.

The top legislator took the occasion to laud the justice sector’s achievements in the past 75 years, saying the sector has carried out uniform solutions to realizing targets and missions set at the 12th National Party Congress.

Besides working to address overlapping regulations and remove administrative procedures that caused troubles to both local people and businesses, the sector has played an important role in solving international trade and investment lawsuits, contributing to protecting national interests amidst deep international integration, she stressed.

On behalf of Party and State leaders, the NA Chairwoman presented a first-class Labor Order, the noble distinction of the Party and State, to the justice sector.
