PANO - The PetroVietnam Gas (PV Gas) of the Vietnam Oil and Gas Group (Petrovietnam) held a ceremony on April 3rd at Thong Nhat (Unification) Hall in Ho Chi Minh City to receive the Labor Hero title. Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc, Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee Dinh La Thang, and representatives from central agencies and local authorities attended the event.

During the event, delegates recalled the company's construction and development over the past 25 years. The company has always exceeded its goals, and it is now valued at nearly US$ 3 billion. PV Gas is among Vietnam's top ten corporate taxpayers. The company is now operating four gas systems with over 1,200km of transmission pipeline, two factories, and many gas filling stations.

The company also donated over VND 700 billion to social welfare activities across the country. They sponsored VND 81 billion to build over 5,000 houses for policy beneficiaries, VND 83 billion for the medical sector, VND 300 billion for the education sector, and many other initiatives.

On behalf of the State President, Deputy PM Phuc awarded the Labor Hero title to the company and praised its past achievements. He also urged company officials and employees to increase the application of scientific and technological advances in operations, to actively invest in new gas sources, and to focus on occupational safety, promoting the national gas industry.
