President Vo Van Thuong meets voters in the Central city of Da Nang on April 27.

Clearing up their concern over the Land Law, President Vo Van Thuong affirmed that the amendment and supplement of the law have been carried out based on the review and assessment of the enforcement process.

The leader noted that apart from contribution to socio-economic development, many limitations and shortcomings, even wrongdoings, have been detected during the implementation of the legal document.

He told the voters that during the fight against corruption and negative phenomena, quite a few officials have been found committing violations of land-related regulations.

Therefore, Resolution 18-NQ/TW has stressed the stance of optimizing land resources and resolutely putting an end to land-related corruption, speculation and wastefulness.

The President affirmed that the Party and the State will push ahead with the fight against corruption and negative phenomena and steadfastly punish officials who commit corrupt acts in the spirit of zero tolerance.

At the same time, efforts will be made to constantly perfect the legal system, streamline administrative procedures, remove obstacles to production and business, and develop a contingent of qualified officials, he said.
