PANO – A review meeting on the implementation of the project to support children and their families affected by floods in the Mekong Delta was held by the Dong Thap Provincial Women’s Union on May 7th.

Financed by the European Commission Humanitarian Aid  Office through Save the Children, the project has given over 10 billion VND to needy students and families in eight communes in Tan Hong, Tam Nong and Hong Ngu districts. 

The project also carried out practical activities such as restoration of houses and schools, bridges and water supply systems, and provided assistance to boost household economies.

Besides, communication campaigns were organized to raise public awareness of clean water, environmental sanitation and health care.
