PANO – The Ministry of Health, in collaboration with the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, held a live TV show entitled “When life is shared” and launched an organ donation movement on October 26th.

The show aimed to spread the noble and humanitarian meaning of organ donation saving people’s lives. According to the Vietnam National Coordination Center for Organ Transplantation, by September 30th this year the demand for organ transplants exceeds the number of donations.

At the event, Minister of Health Nguyen Thi Kim Tien granted health insurance cards and For-people’s-health insignias to 10 outstanding individuals and launched the “organ donation movement” which encourages the community to donate their organs after death, helping patients with fatal diseases recover.
