PANO – Thua Thien-Hue provincial Party Committee, People’s Council, People’s Committee, and Fatherland Front Central Committee on May 16th held a solemn ceremony to receive 13 sets of remains of Vietnamese volunteer soldiers and experts who had sacrificed their lives while serving their international duty in Laos.
At the ceremony, the participants praised the great contributions of Vietnamese soldiers to the resistance war of the Lao people against foreign invaders, contributing to beautifying the traditional friendship between the two Parties and the two nations. They also acknowledged the great efforts of martyr search team 192 of the provincial Military Command in searching and repatriating martyrs’ remains.
Over the past time, the team has repatriated around 700 sets of remains of Vietnamese martyrs in Laos.
