PANO - The hospital of the Ho Chi Minh City Medical University and Abbott Company on August 8 signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to jointly conduct early malnutrition screenings for patients at the hospital.

The signing ceremony

Under this MoU, from this month to next September, those who get health checked up and treated at the hospital will also have their body mass index (BMI) calculated and their nutrition level defined.

Based on the BMI results, the hospital will give free health checkups and consultancy on malnutrition issues and nutrition supplements to malnourished people during its monthly programs.

Such a program will be expanded for malnourished people’s relatives and those with concerns over malnutrition in society.
