PANO – The Ministry of Science and Technology worked with the Defence Ministry to offer the Ho Chi Minh and State Awards on science and technology in field of national defence and security research in Hanoi on September 1st.
Present at the awarding ceremony were State President Truong Tan Sang, Chairman of the National Council for Ho Chi Minh and State Awards on Science-Technology, Minister of Science and Technology Nguyen Quan, Chief of the Presidential Office Dao Viet Trung and Deputy Defence Minister Senior Lieutenant-General Truong Quang Khanh.
Previously, on June 6th, 2012, State President Truong Tan Sang signed decisions to confer three Ho Chi Minh Awards and one State Award on four researches of 75 officers and 17 military organizations under the Defence Ministry.
Addressing the ceremony, Senior Lieutenant-General Truong Quang Khanh said that they are outstanding projects resulting from extensive researches and talents of the military scientists and researchers, and contributing to the national defence and development.
On behalf of the Party and State’s leaders, President Truong Tan Sang highly valued the awarded researchers’ works and appreciated their efforts over the past time. He affirmed that the Party and State always consider development of science-technology and education-training the core motive powers and first-class national policies and hoped military scientists will continue to bring into play their patriotism and create more valuable projects to serve the national industrialization and modernization cause.
