PANO - More than 1,000 youths and youth union members across Ho Chi Minh City gathered at the city’s Youth Cultural House to enjoy the festive day entitled “Youths with traffic culture” and respond to the 2015 communication campaign for all people to wear proper helmets.
At the festive day, the organizers, including the city’s Youth Union Organization, Vietnamese Youth Union, and Unilever Vietnam, introduced five teams in charge of popularizing traffic culture, running simulated courts, exchanging helmets of high quality, raising awareness of waterways traffic, and promoting knowledge of railways. The operation of these teams will help ensure traffic safety and order in the locality.

On the occasion, the organizers presented 100 helmets to 50 motorbike taxi drivers and 10 gifts to disadvantaged local youths.
Moreover, they also launched a writing contest, themed “Building cultural features”, with the hope of introducing more good stories and typical activities in contribution to upholding traditional culture and urban civilization as well as collecting more recommendations about building traffic culture.
After the launch ceremony, thousands of youths proactively participated in activities raising awareness on wearing proper helmets, safely driving motorbikes, and ensuring civilized bus stations.
