PANO – The Saigon Transportation Mechanical Corporation (SAMCO) has recently handed over 23 Samco B80 buses to the May-19 Transport Cooperative, with a total cost of more than VND 63 billion.
Samco B80, the latest product using compressed natural gas (CNG) with a capacity of 68 passengers, meets the public transport requirements in mega cities. The PetroVietnam Gas Joint Stock Corporation (PV GAS) and its sub-units will provide CNG fuel for these CNG buses in the city, to replace the diesel buses running on route 33 (An Duong - Suoi Tien - Vietnam National University, Ho Chi Minh City).
To date, all 52 buses running on route 33 are the CNG ones.
