The Ho Chi Minh City Tumor and Cancer Hospital has introduced a new treatment to cure cancer -- stereotactic body radiation therapy.
The new method is expected to reduce the treatment time, increase effectiveness, reduce complications. It minimizes radiation to adjacent normal tissues.
It can be used to treat localized solid tumors, such as cancers of the skin, tongue, larynx, brain, breast, uterine and cervix, esophagus, and lung.
A time of such radiation costs VND 650,000 (US$36).
