ITE HCMC is an annual event with the theme “Discovering precious pearls of Mekong region – Vietnam, Laos and Cambodia:Three countries, One destination” for this year.
During the opening ceremony, a memorandum of understanding on tourism cooperation by three countries’ ministers and high-level officials is expected to be signed.

Many new activities are to take place, such as “international consumers” programme, aiming to link Vietnam and foreign travel agencies to support destination services; the introduction of 18 well-known destinations throughout Vietnam; and a contest on travel destinations.
Miss Singapore, Miss Philippines and Miss Vietnam will be contestants at Miss Earth 2007, which will be held in mid November. Miss Vietnam is to be officially selected in forthcoming days by Elite Vietnam Model Co., said its executive director, Nguyen Thuy Nga.
