An overview of the seminar |
The project aims to raise the awareness of the overseas Vietnamese community about the Vietnamese language, honor the beauty and value of the language, and encourage Vietnamese expats to learn Vietnamese language and study about culture, among others.
Speeches delivered at the conference focused on discussing and sharing experience among Vietnamese language teachers inside and outside the country, especially offering measures to teach Vietnamese for Vietnamese children abroad.
In the coming time, the Vietnam Education Publishing House will closely work with the State Committee on Overseas Vietnamese Affairs to conduct other events, such as opening refresher courses on Vietnamese language teaching for Vietnamese children abroad, introducing books and Vietnamese culture in other countries, to name but a few.
In the framework of the seminar, the Vietnam Education Publishing House introduced the book series “Hello the Vietnamese language” compiled by author Nguyen Thuy Anh under the Vietnamese Program for Overseas Vietnamese of the Ministry of Education and Training in 2018. The book is for children aged from six to 15.
