The celebration in Prague saw the attendance of approximately 500 guests, including representatives from Czech agencies, business community, diplomatic corps, and Vietnamese expatriates.

Vietnamese Ambassador Duong Hoai Nam delivered a opening speech, highlighting the significance of Vietnamese President Ho Chi Minh's Declaration of Independence on September 2, 1945. He affirmed that the fundamental values of life, freedom, and the pursuit of happiness, as articulated in the declaration, continue to be safeguarded today.

The diplomat lauded the traditional friendship and multifaceted cooperation between Vietnam and the Czech Republic, which are based on mutual respect and common interests.

Expressing his optimism that high-level bilateral exchanges will continue on the occasion of the 75th founding anniversary of the two countries’ diplomatic relations in 2025, Nam also highlighted the valuable contributions of the Vietnamese community in the European nation, noting their role as a crucial bridge between the two countries.

Czech Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Eduard Hulicius described the relations between Vietnam and the Czech Republic as a model of mutual respect among nations. He also commended the Vietnamese community's contributions to Czech society and the expanding economic cooperation between the two countries.

In Brasília, more than 250 guests, including officials from various Brazilian ministries and diplomatic corps, attended the ceremony hosted by the Vietnamese Embassy.

In his remarks, Ambassador Bui Van Nghi reviewed Vietnam's foreign achievements, including establishing diplomatic ties with 193 countries, expanding economic relations with 230 countries and territories, and participating in 16 free trade agreements. He highlighted Vietnam's active and proactive role in multilateral forums, contributing to development goals, human rights protection, and global peace.

The diplomat went on to praise the positive development of the Vietnam-Brazil relations. Bilateral trade exceeded 7.11 billion USD last year and neared 4.6 billion USD in the first seven months of 2024, a year on year increase of 19%.

Ambassador Tarragô, the Brazilian Ministry of Foreign Affairs' Special Envoy for ASEAN, stressed Vietnam's inspirational role in the struggle for national independence and development of countries worldwide.

He acknowledged the strong partnership between the two countries and emphasized that Vietnam is an important partner of  Brazil and has played a key role in expanding the Latin American nation's relations with ASEAN members.
