Overseas students in Singapore recently held a series of activities to raise funds for charity in Vietnam, as part of their annual project, “Vietnam JUMP”, which will be held in early May 2012.

Activities like selling made-in Vietnam souvenirs at the central library in the Singapore National University on the occasion of Valentine’s Day and International Women’s Day attracted the participation of international friends.

This year, “Vietnam JUMP” will help the 10th and 11th grade students in Bau Chinh Commune, Chau Duc District, Vung Tau City, promote their study skills and awareness of community. It will also help upgrade inter-village roads in the commune and give free health check-ups to people in Bau Chinh Commune on May 19th.

Along with those activities, Vietnam JUMP will hold exchanges among Vietnamese and international students and local people, such as camp-fire and cultural exchanges to promote the connectivity among Vietnamese and help international friends learn more about the country.

In a previous program in December 2011, a delegation of overseas students, doctors and nurses, provided free health check-ups to over 1,000 local people in Quang Hoa Commune, Dak Giong District, Dak Nong Province.
