Vietnam Border Guard enhances cooperation with MOFA
PANO – The Department of Border Gates under the Vietnam Border Guard Command and the Consular Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MOFA) signed a cooperation agreement between the two sides on May 15 in Hanoi.
Accordingly, the two above agencies will promote cooperation on their professional operations and enhance the effectiveness of their state management over the consular work and the monitoring of entry and exit of Vietnamese citizens.

They will also cooperate in solving issues related to entry and exit at border gates managed by the Vietnam Border Guard.
Addressing the signing ceremony, Major General Le Duc Thai, Deputy Chief of the Vietnam Border Guard Command, revealed that as the Vietnamese economy is integrating actively in the world economy, the number of Vietnamese and foreigners traveling from and to Vietnam is rising, posing more issues for relevant forces to tackle.
The agreement is expected to help the two sides better carry out their management over the entry and exit of both Vietnamese citizens and foreigners at border gates.
