Particularly, the mission gave gifts to five groups and 156 wounded and sick soldiers, martyrs’ families, and national contributors under treatment at five convalescent centers in Da Nang city, Quang Nam, Quang Ngai, Binh Dinh, and Khanh Hoa provinces. 

On the occasion, Military Region 5 handed over 27 gratitude houses to policy beneficiaries who have faced housing difficulties.

Major General Truong Thien To, Deputy Political Commissar of Military Region 5 presents gifts to the center caring for national contributors of Quang Nam province

* On July 23, the Tank-Armored Command offered incense in commemoration of fallen soldiers at Nhon and Mai Dich Martyrs’ Cemeteries. On the occasion, the force’s mission visited and presented gifts to 12 Vietnamese Heroic Mothers and martyrs’ mothers in Thang Binh district, Quang Nam province. Delegates also visited and encouraged martyrs’ families, policy beneficiaries, and national contributors in Northern provinces, handed over gratitude houses, provided free health check-ups to 240 people, and met with martyrs’ relatives who are working at the corps.

* The Military Region 7 Command has sent its mission to visit and present gifts to Military Hospital 175 under the Ministry of National Defense. During the visit, the delegates thanked the hospital for wholeheartedly taking care of wounded and sick soldiers and troops of the military region’s armed forces. Over the past time, Military Region 7 has provided logistical, technical, and military assistance for the hospital to accomplish its missions.

* A delegation of the Engineering Command offered gifts to the Kim Bang Convalescent Center in Ha Nam province. Marking the 73rd anniversary of Wounded and Fallen Soldiers’ Day (July 27), the command instructed its agencies and units to conduct various gratitude activities. Particularly, engineering agencies and units presented gifts to 686 policy beneficiaries, gave free health check-ups and medicines to 250 people, paid  tribute to fallen soldiers, embellished war cemeteries, and built gratitude houses.

On the occasion, the People’s Committee of Luc Nam district of Bac Giang province and Brigade 229 of the Engineering Command held a ceremony to present a certificate in recognition of feats of arms of martyr Duong Van Bang in Yen Son commune.

* On July 22 and 23, the Dak Lak provincial Military Command visited and presented gifts to Vietnamese heroic mothers, families of wounded soldiers and martyrs. On the occasion, the provincial Military Command handed over a gratitude house, worth of VND 350 million, to Tran Tien Dung in Thien An ward of Buon Ho town. 

* In response to the 73rd Wounded and Fallen Soldiers’ Day, four missions of Ba Ria-Vung Tau province visited, inquired after and presented gifts to Vietnamese Heroic Mothers, wounded soldiers, and families who had rendered good service to the revolution.

During the visits, delegates expressed deep gratitude to the contributions and sacrifices of Vietnamese Heroic Mothers, wounded soldiers, and contributors for the national liberation cause.

* The War Veterans' Association of Binh Phuoc province held a meeting on July 23 with wounded and sick soldiers on the occasion of the Wounded and Fallen Soldiers’ Day. In the first six months of this year, the association received and settled thousands of documents relating to policies for policy beneficiaries, built and repaired 41 houses, mobilized more than VND 1 billion for gratitude activities, and handed over ten saving books to needy national contributors and war veterans. 

At the meeting, the provincial association offered 88 gifts to its outstanding members.

* On July 22, the Binh Thuan provincial Association of Voluntary Youths inaugurated and handed over a house to its member Doan Thi Mon in La Gi town.

* On July 22 and 23, the Hai Duong provincial Military Command, in association with the provincial Health Department, provided free health check-ups and counselling to more than 300 policy people in Cam Vu commune of Cam Giang district and Hung Dao commune of Tu Ky district.

On the occasion, the organizers handed over ten gifts to needy policy beneficiaries in the two communes.
