On the occasion, the NA Vice Chairman handed over 30 gifts to wounded and sick soldiers at the Center, and gave presents to two national contributors in Ha Thach commune, Phu Tho town.
* The same day, a delegation of the Central Military Commission, led by Lieutenant General Nguyen Tan Cuong, Deputy Defense Minister visited and offered gifts to wounded and sick soldiers at the Duy Tien Convalescent Center in Ha Nam province.

Addressing the event, General Cuong said that he hopes that the war invalids will overcome their difficulties, promote the virtues of Uncle Ho’s soldiers, live happily and healthy, and become good examples for young generations to follow. On behalf of the defense ministry’s leadership, General Cuong presented gifts to wounded and sick soldiers.
* On July 21, Senior Lieutenant General Tran Quang Phuong, Deputy Director of the General Department of Politics, headed a delegation to visit the Vietnam Friendship Village.
At the visit, General Phuong showed his empathy for the losses of war veterans, former volunteer youths, and Agent Orange (AO)/ Dioxin victims under treatment at the village. He also expressed his thanks to the staff and employees of the Vietnam Friendship Village for their whole-hearted care for war veterans and former volunteer youths. The GDP’s Deputy Director handed over 41 gifts to groups and individuals at the Vietnam Friendship Village.
* A delegation of the General Department of Politics, led by its Deputy Director Senior Lieutenant General Nguyen Trong Nghia, visited and offered gifts to wounded and sick soldiers at the Kim Bang Convalescent Center in Ha Nam province on July 21.
General Nghia expressed his deep gratitude to wounded and sick soldiers under treatment at the center and stressed that the Central Military Commission and the Ministry of National Defense will always pay attention and care for national contributors. He hoped that the center’s staff will continue heightening their responsibilities to fulfill their missions in the time to come.
* The Secretariat of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union Central Committee will launch numerous activities to care for national contributors nationwide. Particularly, the organ will collaborate with local authorities to hold meetings with Vietnamese Heroic Mothers and burn incense to pay tribute to heroic martyrs at cemeteries and war memorials on July 26.
* The Party Committee and Chain of Command of Division 363 under the Air Defense – Air Force Service handed over a gratitude house to war veteran Nguyen Dinh Thach in Do Trung ward, Dai Hop commune, Tu Ky district, Hai Duong province on July 21.
The 80sq.m house was built at a total cost of VND 80 million and completed after four months of construction.
* The same day, the Association of Agent Orange (AO)/ Dioxin Victims of Binh Thuan province in collaboration with several sponsors provided health check-ups and free medicines to 500 AO/Dioxin victims and national contributors in Ham Thuan Nam district. In addition, they presented 275 gifts to AO/Dioxin victims, national contributors, and needy students in the localities.
