In these July days, one can easily come across images of men participating in training while engaging in community activities to assist local residents. Militiaman Truong Quang Hoan, from Hoa Chinh commune, Chuong My district, shared, "Helping our fellow citizens beautify the streets and roads and renovate the war cemeteries in our homeland is an honor for me. Therefore, when receiving orders from higher levels, I am well ready and ensure all necessary equipment and tools, such as grass-cutting machines, carts, hoes, shovels... This guarantees the quality and effectiveness of the work."

Working alongside the militia force, Ms. Phan Thi Nghiep from Van Vo village, Van Vo commune, Chuong My district, said, "This road used to be very narrow, covered in wild bushes along the sides. Thanks to the militia force's participation in the clean-up efforts, the road has been significantly widened, making it more convenient for local residents to travel."

According to Colonel Bui Ba Dung, Political Chief of the Chuong My District Military Command, linking the training of the militia force with community activities holds significant importance. The militia force, being close to the people, not only understands their thoughts and aspirations but can also effectively resolve arising issues in the locality. Therefore, every year, before commencing the training, the district military command pro-actively develops and implements practical plans for community activities for the militiamen.

This year, the Chuong My District Military Command has directed all the commune- and townlet-level affiliated units to mobilize over 1,500 militiamen to collaborate with Youth Union chapters, civilians, and military units stationed in the area to carry out activities like cleaning nearly 5km of inter-commune roads. Additionally, they have also beautified the landscapes of war cemeteries and thoroughly addressed prominent environmental problems in certain areas.

The militia force has also excelled in their communication efforts, promoting the Party's guidelines, the State's policies and laws, and disseminating information about movements and campaigns initiated by the Central Committee, the Hanoi Capital Command, and the local authorities. They have also coordinated in organizing gift-giving events, providing medical examinations, health consultations, and free medicines to support policy beneficiaries and impoverished households in the region.
