Major General Do Van Banh, Deputy Political Commissar of Military Region 7, and leaders of Binh Phuoc province attended the event.
The recipients were ethnic minority people in Bu Gia Map, Dak O, Phu Van, Phu Nghia communes of Bu Gia Map district facing housing difficulty.
The groundbreaking ceremonies of these houses took place in June this year. Each house has an area of 53 sq.m.
Among 28 houses, 15 houses have been built in a resettlement area in Dac A sub-region in Bu Gia Map commune.
The total construction cost was more than 2.6 billion VND, of which the Military Region 7 Command contributed VND 1.1 billion

Apart from the houses, the families also received other necessities, such as electric fans, TV sets, electric cookers with the total value of over VND 200 million.
Addressing the ceremony, Major General Do Van Banh highly appreciated Economic-Defense Unit 778’s great efforts and its effective coordination with local authorities and relevant units to complete the houses.
General Banh took this chance to say thanks to businesses and benefactors for their support in the care for local people.
According to General Banh, such an activity will help ethnic minorities stabilize their life, contributing to local hunger elimination and poverty reduction, socio-economic development, political security, social order and safety, and closer troops-people solidarity, building a firm people’s heart posture in border areas in Binh Phuoc province.
