Meaningful gifts to needy people
PANO - A medical mission of the General Department of Technical Services of the Vietnam People’s Army, led by Senior Colonel Nguyen Ngoc Son, Vice Chairman of its Department of Politics, on May 11 presented gifts to policy beneficiaries, and provided free health check-ups and medicines for ethnic minority people in Mang Yang district, Gia Lai province.
On this occasion, more than 700 people received free health check-ups, health counseling, and medicines, worth VND 250,000 each. The mission also visited and presented 40 gifts, worth VND 500,000 each, to policy families. The mission also advised people on measures to prevent and fight common diseases during the transition of seasons.

Addressing the event, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of Mang Yang district, Gia Lai province, highly appreciated the meaningful activity of the mission.
Reportedly, the cost of all gifts and medicines was voluntarily contributed by the unit's troops. The practical activities helped needy local people overcome their difficulties, contributing to strengthening the military-civilian relations.
