Meaningful activities held to support pandemic-hit people
PANO - Military units and localities nationwide are taking COVID-19 prevention and control measures, while supporting needy people who are affected by the pandemic.

Needy people receiving gifts from Military Region 9 Command |
* On August 9 and 10, a delegation of the Military Region 9 Command visited and presented 740 gifts to needy Khmer people in Vinh Chau town, Soc Trang province and Tan Phu Dong district, Tien Giang province.
The practical activity showed the concern and the share of difficulties facing the locality, contributing to the resolve in combating the disease.
* On August 9, Phu Nhuan district’s Military Command, in coordination with local authorities and sponsors, gave 500 gifts, worth over VND 300,000 each, to COVID-19-hit people.
Earlier, the unit has taken good care of the Cham ethnic people in the area. This is a practical activity to support needy people, contributing to deepening military-civilian ties during COVID-19 outbreaks.

A zero-VND stall for the poor launched by Binh Son district’s Military Command |
* On the same day, Binh Son district’s Military Command (Quang Ngai provincial Military Command), launched a zero-VND stall for the poor. This is a model with a practical meaning, beautifying the images of Uncle Ho’s soldiers and boosting military-civilian ties in harsh conditions.
In the coming time, the unit will organize similar programs in other COVID-19 hit localities, contributing to realizing the dual goals of pandemic prevention and control and economic development, stabilizing people's life.
