Helping needy people and laborers
In 2023, Pham Huu Nam, a worker of Team No.6 in Company 72, Corps 15 had a labor accident that required long-term treatment, affecting his health and income. His wife was also previously a worker at Company 72, but due to her illness, she had to quit her job, and his family is in difficult living conditions. Therefore, Nam was encouraged and received practical gifts from leaders at all levels.

“When I was in the hospital, leaders at all levels and Trade Union chapters not only visited and inquired after me, but also sent teams to support my family to harvest rubber latex. On the occasion of Tet, Corp 15 and Company 72 also presented gifts to my family. I was so happy because, in the hardest conditions, we were not left behind,” held Nam.
Not only laborers of Army Corps 15, but also thousands of people, especially those from ethnic minority groups in the border provinces of Gia Lai, Kon Tum, and Quang Binh received due care from leaders of the corps.
Ms. Kuih Chuet, a Gia Rai person from Bua village, Ia Pnon commune, Duc Co district, Gia Lai province was offered rice, fish sauce, cooking oil, and candies from the “Zero-VND Trade Union Market.” She expressed her thankfulness to the military unit for bringing a happy Tet to her family.
In the cozy spring atmosphere, Y Diu, a Gia Rai people and a worker of Team No.10 under Company 78, from Kdin village, Mo Rai commune, Sa Thay district, Kon Tum province, together with two other workers, received “Gratitude House 78,” worth VND 70 million each.
Director of Company 78 Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Xuan Chung said that with the hope to bring the best to its employees, the company launched an emulation drive to build “Gratitude House 78” for needy laborers. This year, before Tet 2024, the company handed over three gratitude houses to its needy workers, encouraging them to continue their work in Mo Rai border area.
Bringing Tet to all people
According to Commander of Corps 15 Major General Hoang Van Sy, the unit is in charge of implementing defense work and developing economy in 271 hamlets and villages in 37 communes, nine districts, and cities of the four provinces of Gia Lai, Kon Tum, Quang Binh, and Binh Dinh, covering more than 250km of shared borderline. In 2023, thanks to the care of the Central Military Commission, the Ministry of National Defense, and local authorities, the corps well accomplished its defense and military tasks, in combination with socio-economic development. Production value, revenue, and profits all exceeded the set plan. It also organized a series of programs to take care of laborers in the areas, worth totally more than VND 150 billion.

On the occasion of Tet 2024, the corps will organize a Tet program in all affiliated units, thereby together with local authorities, bringing a happy and cozy Tet to all people and laborers.
In addition to stable economic conditions, workers of Corps 15 also mobilized ethnic minority groups to apply new production models and methods. This year, the unit plans to work with local authorities to ensure a happy and cozy Tet for all people.
