Forces continue locating sunk trawler
PANO - According to the Department of Search and Rescue under the General Staff of the Vietnam People's Army, rescue forces are still in search of boat KH-90208TS which has been thought to sink 160 nautical miles Southeast of O Cap cape, Ba Ria - Vung Tau province, on January 11.
On January 14, the Committees of Natural Disaster Prevention and Search and Rescue of Khanh Hoa and Ba Ria - Vung Tau provinces held a conference to discuss solutions for the search of the missing boat with 10 fishermen on board.

Concluding the conference, delegates agreed to ask the National Committee for Response to Incidents and Natural Disasters and Search and Rescue to ask relevant agencies to send maritime messages to boats operating in the area to help locate the troubled boat and promptly inform local authorities.
On January 15, the Department of Consular Affairs under the Ministry of Foreign Affairs asked the embassies of Singapore, Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand and Cambodia to Vietnam to inform Vietnamese relevant agencies if they have any information related to the troubled trawler.
In addition, the Vietnam Maritime Rescue Coordination Center has informed its relevant counterparts in neighboring countries of the missing case of boat KH-90208TS.
