Contest on knowledge of border and border guards concludes
PANO - The Border Guard Command, in association with the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union Central Committee, held a ceremony to wrap up and honor winners of a knowledge contest on national border and border guard force on December 27 in Hanoi, in celebration of the 60th anniversary of the Traditional Day of the Vietnam Border Guard (March 3, 1959) and the 30th anniversary of the Whole-People's Border Day (March 3, 1989).
The competition was organized in two forms: online quiz and writing contest.
The online quiz ran from January to December this year and drew the participation of more than 105,000 people. Questions were regularly posted on the online Border Guard Newspaper and other online newspapers under the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union Central Committee.

The organizing panels of provinces, cities and subordinate units received over 1.6 million written pieces from December 2017 to October 2018.
The organizers, in coordination with the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union Central Committee established a jury, which then selected 1,195 excellent entries for the central level finale.
At the awarding ceremony, the Border Guard Command presented one first, two second and three third prizes to 6 groups, along with one first, two second, five third and 18 consolation prizes to 26 individuals with outstanding results at the two competitions. The winners also received certificates from the organizers.
