The unit's medical staff providing health checkup for fishermen

After receiving the fishermen, the units took pandemic prevention and control measures and provided health check-ups for fishermen. The units’ commanding officers also met and presented gifts to encourage fishermen and trawler’s owner to overcome difficulties.

The Border Post of Gianh Port also made a record of the incident, verified the cause of the ship's sinking, and completed all procedures to hand over the fishermen to their families.

Earlier on February 15, trawler QB 98160TS with Nguyen Phuong (born in 1971 and lives in Quang Loc commune, Ba Don town, Quang Ninh province) at the whelm and 11 fishermen on board sank in the waters near Con Co Island due to strong winds and high waves while fishing at sea.

After one hour drifting at sea, the 11 distressed fishermen were rescued by crewmembers of trawlers QB 98348TS and QB 98082TS which were fishing nearby and taken ashore.

At 6:30 a.m. on February 18, trawlers QB 98348TS and QB 98082TS, respectively owned by Pham Hoan and Nguyen Van Dong from Quang Loc commune, Ba Don district, Quang Ninh province, safely approached Gianh port.
