Border Guard Command receives COVID-19 relief
PANO - The Border Guard Command in the Southern region, on June 10, held a ceremony to receive COVID-19 relief from the Duc Dat Plastic Limited Company and the Women’s Union of District 6, Ho Chi Minh City, to support southwestern provinces in the fight against the pandemic.
The donations included 50,000 medical face masks, 500 disinfectant pressure sprayers, and 50 boxes of cup noodles.
Highlighting the contributions and sacrifices of anti-COVID-19 border guard forces in general and the on-duty personnel along the southwestern border in particular to the pandemic prevention and control efforts, Vice Director of the Duc Dat Plastic Co., Ltd Tran Thi Mai Trang hoped that the gifts will partly ease the difficulties of the anti-COVID-19 front-line border troops and encourage them to accomplish their assigned missions.
On behalf of the Border Guard Command, its Deputy Political Chief Senior Colonel Nguyen Quoc Cuong expressed sincere thanks to the two donors for their timely support, affirming that the support will encourage on-duty border troops to fulfill their assignments in managing and firmly protecting national sovereignty and border security, as well as controlling the pandemic.
