Earlier, Iakouba Dmiti and Kazine Alxei from Australia, staying at Sun Rise hotel, had rented a boat for sightseeing at sea. Due to tough waves and strong winds, their boat had overturned at about six nautical miles from Cu Lao Cham islands.
Immediately, Cua Dai Border Post sent its troops and five speed boats to conduct search and rescue work. Up to 11:00pm the same day, the rescuers could take the victims ashore safely. Both are in good health now.
