Troops performing their AK shooting skill

The event was part of the activities to hone troops’ tactical capabilities and shooting skills as well as strengthen their coordination in conducting missions at sea. Meanwhile, it aimed to evaluate troops’ competence in using equipment so as to soon map out solutions to raise training quality at sea, meeting all requirements of the force.

Despite harsh weather conditions, participating troops overcame all difficulties and demonstrated their high resolve to ensure the quality of the training.

In the framework of the training program, the unit, together with the authorities of An Son island commune, Kien Hai district, Kien Giang province, implemented mass mobilization work, distributed leaflets about the Vietnamese Law of the Sea, the Law on Vietnam's Coast Guard, and regulations on combating illegal, unreported and unregulated (IUU) fishing.

In addition, they also presented 15 gifts to policy households and needy fishermen, 15 gifts to poor students with good academic results, handed over 200 national flags, 1,000 medical masks and 200 bottles of hand sanitizers to fishermen from An Son off-shore commune.
