At the see-off ceremony

The mission brought along a number of necessities and Lunar New Year gifts to Truong Sa troops and islanders so that they can enjoy a happy Lunar New Year (Tet).

Addressing the ceremony to see off the mission, Nguyen Tan Tuan, Deputy Secretary of Party Committee and Chairman of People’s Committee of Khanh Hoa province hailed the great thoughtful care of the Ministry of National Defense, Naval Service, and Naval Region 4 Command for Truong Sa island district’s troops and islanders.

The provincial leader hands the Tet gifts to the mission

Tuan also took this chance to congratulate Truong Sa troops and islanders on their achievements in the past and wish the mission a lucky journey.

At the event, the provincial leader handed the Tet gifts to the mission.

On the occasion, the Da Lat Flower Association presented Truong Sa troops and islanders newly-cut orchids, and other Da Lat specialties such as coffee, artichoke tea, worth more than VND 200 million in total.

The mission plans to visit all islands in Truong Sa island district within 20 days.
