The closing ceremony was held on July 28 in Ho Chi Minh City under the chair of Senior Lieutenant General Nguyen Trong Nghia, Deputy Director of the General Department of Politics (GDP) of the Vietnam People's Army (VPA).
The festival, themed “Songs encouraging troops during field operation”, featured the Nation’s unique culture through various art acts performed by 14 participating art troupes.
During the program, artists all followed instructions and regulations of the organizing panel, and presented performances in praise of the Party and President Ho Chi Minh, the glorious tradition of the nation, the beautiful virtues of the military and public security troops, students and youths, and cultural values of the country.

Addressing the ceremony, General Nghia acknowledged great efforts of the participating teams. The outcomes of the festival once again affirmed the improvement of the art and literature movement as well as of public art activities of the armed forces and youths nationwide. They have contributed to the building of “Cultural units” in the military and the campaign “The whole people unite in building a cultural life.”
He also asked units’ leaders and local organizations to work together closely to promote public art exchanges at the grassroots level. In addition, they should embrace and seriously implement the Party guidelines on culture, literature and arts while raising troops’ political stance and the quality of art works, contributing to improving troops’ qualities, deserving the image of Uncle Ho's soldiers in the current context.
The GDP presented its flags to the eight best performances of the art troupes of the Ho Chi Minh City Military Command, Coast Guard Region 3 Command, Military Hospital 175, Army Officers Training School No.2, Signal Officers Training School, Division 5 (Military Region 7), An Giang provincial Military Command, and Ministry of Public Security.
In addition, dozens of gold medals and certificates were also presented to individuals and groups for their outstanding performances and their contributions to the success of the event.
