Party General Secretary To Lam shakes hands with senior officers of MR7.

At the event, MR7’s leaders reported on the regional armed forces’ task performance in 2024 and key missions in 2025.

On behalf of the Party and State, General Secretary To Lam highly appreciated MR7’s armed forces’ attainments over the past time, contributing to  maintaining  the national sovereignty and creating favorable conditions for socio-economic development in border areas.

Regarding this year’s tasks, the Party chief asked Military Region 7’s Party Committee and Chain-of-Command to continue to embrace and realize resolutions and directives of the Party, the CMC, and the Ministry of National Defense, especially the resolutions of the 13th National Party Congress, the 11th Military Party Congress, and the eighth session of the 13th Party Central Committee on the strategy for safeguarding the Fatherland in the new context as well as the resolution of fourth session of the 11th and 12th Party Central Committees on strengthening the Party building and rectification in the military.

He also laid stress on the continuity of studying and following President Ho Chi Minh’s thought, morality, and lifestyle and the campaign entitled “Promoting traditions, devoting talents, deserving to be Uncle Ho’s soldiers” in the new period.

General Secretary To Lam requested the MR7 to proactively coordinate to grasp situations, give timely suggestions to higher levels and put its forces and vehicles on standby on request to ensure political security, public order, and social safety in the region.

The region was also urged to adjust its defensive and operational plans in line with situational developments, building and consolidating whole-people defense posture and people’s security posture coupled with a firm people’s heart disposition. In addition, it should constantly improve synergy, combat readiness capabilities, be comprehensively-strong, exemplary and typical while strengthening training, exercises, and defense diplomacy.

General Secretary To Lam presents Tet gifts to the MR7 Command.

As the lunar New Year (Tet) is coming, General Secretary To Lam presented Tet gifts to the MR7 Command and requested it to make thorough preparations for a cozy, safe and economic Tet with high combat readiness for its troops and local people.

Earlier, General Secretary To Lam and the delegation laid flowers and offered incense in commemoration of late President Ho Chi Minh at the memorial at MR7’s headquarters.
