PAN debuts Lao, Khmer online editions
PANO – The People’s Army Newspaper (PAN) debuted its Lao and Khmer online editions on October 20th in the presence of the representatives of the Ministry of Information and Communications, the General Department of Politics of the Vietnam People’s Army, its staff and other relevant agencies of the Ministry of National Defense.
At the event, the Minister of Information and Communications, Truong Minh Tuan, handed over the publishing licenses for the two online editions to Major General Pham Van Huan, Editor-in-Chief of the PAN, and Senior Colonel Trinh Van Hao, Chief of the PAN Online Department.

The minister stressed the importance of the debut of the editions as the PAN was celebrating its 67th anniversary of the release of its first issue on October 20, 1950.The event also marked a milestone in the dynamic development of the PAN, serving as the first step in turning the PAN into one of the key media agencies of the Vietnamese revolutionary press society.
The two editions will help promote images of Vietnam, the traditional friendship among Vietnam, Laos and Cambodia, all the while, contributing to the younger generations’ education of and the fostering the awareness of the steadfast relations among the three countries.
The editions will also serve to uphold friendship and solidarity among the countries of Vietnam, Laos, and Cambodia. Each online edition consists of one homepage and 11 content pages, including Politics, Defense-Security, Vietnam-Laos/Khmer Relations, World News, History and Tradition, and Photos among others.
