PANO – 77 teachers were promoted to professor and associate professor in 2013, and 212 others were presented with the title of Excellent Teacher at the Defence Ministry level, at a ceremony organised by the Ministry of National Defence on November 19th at the Military Technical Academy.
On behalf of the Central Military Commission and Defence Ministry, Senior Lieutenant General Do Ba Ty, Chief of the General Staff and Deputy Defence Minister, congratulated the new title recipients, saying that teachers are the main elements for education and training quality, so the Party, State and Army always pay attention to building a contingent of teachers with high professionalism, making contributions to building up a revolutionary, regular, elite and increasingly modern army.
He added that the title showed the high appreciation of the Party, State, Central Military Commission and Defence Ministry for great contributions of army teachers to the education and training cause of the country in general, and the army in particular.
General Do Ba Ty hoped that they would continue studying to raise teaching quality, foreign languages and information technology, meeting the demand for education and training missions. Besides, the forces should thoroughly grasp the guidelines and policies to renew teaching methods and education programs for higher teaching quality, as well as compile documents for students.
Schools and training bases in the whole army were asked to raise teacher quality, making contributions to developing the education and training of the army, and meeting requirements of missions in the new context.
