More than 200 military role models in defense building to be honored

On December 10, the organizing panel of the meeting convened in Hanoi to review their preparations for the event under the chair of Senior Lieutenant General Nguyen Trong Nghia, Deputy Director of the General Department of Politics (GDP) of the Vietnam People’s Army.

The organizing panel and relevant military agencies and units have proactively carried out their assigned tasks following the GDP’s Plan on the organization of the meeting in accordance with the decision of the Standing Committee of the Central Military Commission and the Minister of National Defense.

General Nghia highly valued the efforts and high sense of responsibility of those engaged in organizing the meeting and asked them to complete the assignments and promote preparations for the meeting between the role models and leaders of the Party and State.

They were also requested to make thorough preparations for the role models’ participation in other events including the Viet Bac Exhibition and Fair 2019, the 30th anniversary of the Whole People’s Defense Festive Day, and the 75th founding anniversary of the Vietnam People’s Army (December 22).

General Nghia also urged military and civilian press and media agencies to further disseminate information about the December 22 anniversary activities and the honored role models.
