Last academic year, the school actively promoted research and updated new training contents on the principle of more practice and less theory. On behalf of the GDP's leadership, Gen. Can acknowledged and praised the school's achievements in the past academic year and asked the school to embrace the Party's and State's directives and policies on reforming education and training, build a "Smart School" model, improve the qualifications of its staff under the national standards; and strengthen its Party organization.
* The Signal Officer Training School on September 19 held a ceremony to start the 2018-2019 school year and receive the second-class “Bravery” order from the Lao People's Democratic Republic. In the last academic year, the school actively standardized and innovated its training programs, implemented the adopted contents and promoted the school's strategy for the 2018-2020 period.
* Regarding its major missions in the 2018-2019 academic year, the Naval Academy continued to embrace the resolutions of the Party committees at all levels, build a politically-strong academy, boost education and training reform, and promote scientific research.
