Military ensures absolute security for 13th National Party Congress
PANO – Deputy Chief of the General Staff Senior Lieutenant General Nguyen Phuong Nam visited and inspected the observance of combat readiness regulations of forces protecting security of the 13th Congress of the Party on January 29.

During the visit, General Nam was briefed on forces’ performance of combat readiness regulations, checked troops’ awareness of their missions, and the coordination among agencies and units in ensuring security and safety for the 13th National Party Congress.
Highlighting the participating forces’ responsibilities and close coordination, Nam asked them to thoroughly grasp and strictly implement directives of the Central Military Commission, leaders of the Defense Ministry, the General Staff, and the Sub-committee for Security at the 13th National Party Congress on combat readiness missions.
In addition, participating units should strictly observe duty regulations, heighten their revolutionary vigilance, and rigorously carry out set plans to ensure absolute safety for the on-going 13th National Party Congress.
General Nam also urged the units’ Party committees and chains-of-command to take care of active-duty troops and encourage them to fulfil all assigned missions. In addition, the units were also asked to consult military medical agencies to effectively prevent the COVID-19 pandemic.
