PANO – The General Staff on January 7th held the whole army’s electronic warfare conference in 2014 in the presence of Lieutenant General Nguyen Trung Thu, Deputy Chief of General Staff of the Vietnam People’s Army.

Last year, all electronic warfare units thoroughly grasped and comprehensively implemented instructions and orders, well carried out staff work, fulfilled training and combat readiness missions and settled satisfactorily unexpected problems. 100% of electronic warfare units well fulfilled tasks and many of them were awarded. These units have ensured and mastered modern military equipment, making contributions to raising professionalism.

During the conference, the participants pointed out advantages and disadvantages in carrying out training, combat readiness and electronic warfare tasks in the time to come, as well as worked out measures to fulfil the task, laying out their concerns on the progress of infrastructure of electronic warfare units in the whole army for advancement of electronic warfare service.

Addressing the conference, Lieutenant General Nguyen Trung Thu said that electronic warfare is an important field for commanders at all levels in carrying out missions, so that electronic warfare cadres and staff should improve their political stance, promote studying to master modern military equipment, as well as develop detailed plans to carry out mission for better results.

This year, electronic warfare units will pay attention to improving personnel work, promoting training and effectively protecting, exploiting and mastering new equipment.
