At the conference, delegates were informed of resolutions to implement the 2017 tasks by the Party Committee of the General Staff, the office of the Ministry of National Defense, while reviewing their financial situation and emulation movements this year.
Particularly, the General Staff had provided timely and valuable advice to the Party, State and the Ministry of National Defense on military and defense affairs while directing its relevant units to increasingly improve training quality, actively implement search and rescue missions as well as well perform other assigned tasks with good results. Additionally, the staff ensured logistical work for regular and irregular missions and maintained military disciplines and high combat readiness.
In 2017, the General Staff will continue grasping higher levels' instructions and resolutions and strictly carrying out major political missions, contributing to building a strong army in term of politics, ideology, and organization, and at the same time ensuring force for search and rescue and other unscheduled tasks.
