At the meetings with the units’ leaders, General Nghia congratulated the units on their remarkable achievements last year and highly appreciated their efforts in carrying out combat readiness missions and taking care of material and spiritual life of troops, workers, policy beneficiaries and needy households.

He asked the units to grasp and implement effectively their 2018 missions with a focus on combat readiness posture. They were requested to exercise strictly the military discipline, ensure absolute safety, prevent fire and explosion, foster political education to raise troops’ political stance and ensure troops and locals to have a happy, safe and economical Lunar New Year Festival. Units in Gia Lai and Kon Tum should cooperate with localities to ensure political security and public order as well as take good care of national contributors and needy people in localities where they are stationed.

The same day, the GDP’s mission, led by its Deputy-Director Lieutenant General Le Hien Van, paid a New Year visit to the An Giang provincial Military Command, Brigade 962 of Military Region 9, Thoi Port Border Gate Border Post of the An Giang provincial Border Command and military press agencies in Can Tho city.

Praising the units’ recorded results in 2017 and preparations for Lunar New Year Festival, the GDP’s deputy director urged to keep in touch with local situation, give constructive advice to local leadership to deal with issues in a timely manner, pay attention to troops’ material and spiritual life as well as carry out effectively policies for troops’ families in the coming Lunar New Year festival.
