At the event, Senior Colonel Phung Thi Phu, Head of the Military Women Advisory Board, briefed the delegates on the agenda of the 13th National Women’s Congress.

She said that the 13th National Women’s Congress, themed “Promoting tradition, solidarity, creativeness, integration; building strong women’s organizations for women’s happiness, and the nation’s prosperity,” will take place from March 9 to 11 at Hanoi National Conference Center.

According to her, nine representatives of the military will participate in and deliver reports at the event, including a report of Head of the International Cooperation Agency of the Vietnam Department of Peacekeeping Operation Lieutenant Colonel Do Thi Hang Nga. In her speech, Nga will brief participants on the military women’s outcomes in joining peacekeeping operations and their efforts in popularizing the beautiful image of Uncle Ho’s soldiers to international friends and building the Vietnamese women in the new period. 

Highly appreciating the preparation of the delegation of military women for the event, General Can emphasized that the 13th National Women’s Congress is an important political event of the Vietnamese women, opening a new development stage of women’s associations at all levels. Therefore, each member of the delegation should be well aware of the honor and political responsibility and actively contribute to the success of the congress.

At the meeting

After the congress, delegates should report on the outcomes of the congress to senior leaders and popularize them to all members of women’s union in the whole military, so as to contribute to making positive changes in women’s activities in the whole military.

The GDP’s deputy chief asked the Military Women Advisory Board to cooperate with the congress’s organizing panel to grasp its schedule and sidelines activities to make through preparation for the event and disseminate the congress’s outcomes to women in the whole military. He strongly believed that with rich glorious traditions, the delegation of military women will make important contribution to the congress and successfully fulfill missions at the 13th National Women’s Congress.

On behalf of the delegation, Senior Colonel Phung Thi Phu promised that military representatives will promote unity, strictly follow the congress’s regulations, convey military women’s ideas to the event, and update new methods to raise the effectiveness of activities of military women in the coming time.
