PANO – Measures to ensure tropical durability for weapons and military equipment made by Russia were discussed at a seminar at the Vietnam-Russia Tropical Centre in Hanoi on November 24th.

Deputy Defence Minister Senior Lieutenant General Truong Quang Khanh, Head of the Vietnamese sub-committee of the Vietnam-Russia Intergovernmental Committee for Military Technical Cooperation, and Russian Deputy Director of the Federal Service for Military Technical Cooperation Drozhzhov Vladimir Nikolayevich co-chaired the event.

The participating delegates focused on technical work in combination with the exploitation of Russian weapons and military equipment used by the Vietnam People’s Army, as well as their endurance in the country’s weather conditions.

The workshop offered a good chance for the two sides to exchange information and find ways to improve the quality of weapons and military equipment to meet the training and combat readiness demands of different units of the Vietnam People’s Army in the coming time.
