Also, the unit has regularly practiced measures to prevent and cope with natural disasters and honed SAR skills, while strictly maintaining military discipline, ensuring logistics supplies and technical services, and taking care of troops’ life, among others.

Still, the delegation checked Division 309’s documents and plans of combat readiness, natural disaster prevention and control, and SAR work, as well as witnessed the unit’s troops practicing the SAR mission.

Speaking at the working session, Major General Le Van Huong applauded Division 309’s natural disaster prevention and control and SAR work. The unit has drawn up a concrete plan, conducted training activities, and closely collaborated with Dong Nai province’s localities to complete the practice, meeting the set requirements and ensuring absolute safety for personnel and weapons.

Troops of Infantry Regiment 31 ready for SAR skill pratice

In the time to come, the Army Corps 4 leadership required Division 309 to further practice combat readiness plans to meet the requirements of the tasks of natural disaster prevention and control and SAR in any circumstances.

The unit should effectively implement the four-on-spot motto in natural disaster prevention, pro-actively propose appropriate plans for each locality, and pay more attention to organizing training courses on SAR skills for troops.

Additionally, leaders at all levels should closely coordinate with localities to ensure the ready status of personnel and vehicles. Thereby, troops could help local people to respond to natural disasters in a timely manner, minimizing the losses in both human lives and properties and fulfilling all assigned missions.
