Defense minister chairs conference of CMC’s Standing Board

The event was attended by Chief of the General Department of Political Affairs (GDP) General Luong Cuong, Chief of the General Staff Senior Lieutenant General Nguyen Tan Cuong; and Deputy Defense Minister Senior Lieutenant General Vo Minh Luong.

Defense Minister General Phan Van Giang chairs the conference.

During the event, delegates commented on the report reviewing military and defense work in the first six months of 2023, and draft conclusion of the CMC on leadership in performing military and defense and military building tasks in the first six months and major tasks in the second half of the year.

Meanwhile, the conference also discussed plans to organize the conference of the CMC, and the whole military politico-military conference in the first half of 2023 and other important contents on personnel, financial and judicial work.

Delegates at the event

Addressing the conference, General Giang requested affiliated units to collect delegates’ comments and finalize report on military and defense work as well as leadership on this task in the first six months of this year.

Meanwhile, functional units should work with relevant units to make thorough preparation in all fields to successfully organize the conference of the CMC and the whole military politico-military conference in the first six months of 2023 with absolute safety.
