In 2025, MR7’s Party Committee and Chain-of-Command have focused on leading and directing the armed forces of region to accelerate and make breakthroughs, and comprehensively fulfill assigned tasks. Highlights include strict observance of combat readiness and search and rescue preparedness at all levels; close coordination with functional forces to firmly maintain political security, social order, and safety in the designated areas, prompt and effective handling of situations.

Attentively, the MR7 Command has decisively and urgently implemented the plan to reorganize local military agencies toward an elite, compact, and strong structure. It has effectively carried out projects, guidelines, and innovative models of the Ministry of National Defense and the MR7 in local military and defense work.
In 2026, MR7 will continue to strictly implement combat readiness and search and rescue tasks, especially during major political events of the Party, the State, and the military. The armed forces of the region will effectively implement higher-level principles and the “five steadfast's” approach, namely steadfast in politics, steadfast in discipline, steadfast in technology, steadfast in military art, and steadfast in troop welfare.
In his directive remarks, Defense Minister Phan Van Giang highly praised the local armed forces for their attainments gained in 2025. He asked MR7 to thoroughly grasp and realize the Party’s viewpoints, guidelines, and policies on military and defense tasks, Fatherland building and defense in the new situation, and combination of defense consolidation and socio-economic development.
MR7 was urged to enhance combat readiness capability; pro-actively study, keep a close watch on, forecast, and accurately assess situational developments to avoid passivity and surprise; and improve synergy and combat strength of the region’s armed forces.

The defense chief also requested MR7 to effectively direct logistics, technical, financial affairs, and other working aspects, especially judicial and external affairs; to build the Party Organization of MR7 as a political vanguard, steadfast, resilient, and absolutely loyal to the Party, the Fatherland, and the people while focusing on enhancing leadership capacity and combat strength of Party committees and cells, exemplary vanguard role of cadres, particularly key leaders at all levels.
At the event, on behalf of the State President, General Phan Van Giang presented the First-class Fatherland Protection Order to MR7, and the Third-class Fatherland Protection Order to individuals with outstanding achievements in the cause of building and defending the Fatherland.
