PANO – Senior Lieutenant General Do Ba Ty, Chief of the General Staff of the Vietnam People’s Army (VPA), on January 10th visited naval units stationed in the Cam Ranh base.
After inspecting combat readiness and barracks of the units, General Ty appreciated their efforts to overcome difficulties to complete all assigned tasks, especially in mastering newly-subordinated weapons and military equipment.
He also paid visits to the Vietnam’s first Kilo-class submarine HQ182-Hanoi, Submarine Brigade 189 and Air Force-Naval Brigade 954.
At a working session with the Naval Region 4 Command and other units in the base, the general urged them to uphold their achievements, seriously maintain the watch and combat readiness, effectively manage and use weapons and equipment, and enhance troops’ living standards, especially in the coming Lunar New Year holiday.
