The competition aimed to comprehensively assess the command capability, coordination, mobility, technical proficiency, and expertise of the military chemical force, particularly those stationed and operating in the South. It also helped enhance professional expertise, strengthen courage, and improve combat readiness capability and the readiness to respond to any toxic chemical and radiological emergencies.

After the opening on October 31, 16 teams from seven units under the Chemical Corps, stationed in the South, competed in three stages, namely obstacle crossing, firefighting, rescue, toxic chemical and radiological reconnaissance; decontamination and rescue operations; and AK shooting (lesson 1). The competitions were both fierce and thrilling. Competitors strived for excellence in every stage of the contest.

The competition ended with all scheduled activities completed, all objectives met and absolute safety ensured.

Senior Colonel Tran Tran Van Chung, Deputy Chief of Staff of the Chemical Corps and Deputy Head of the competition organizing committee, assessed that during the event, competitors overcame harsh weather conditions and high-intensity challenges, showing determination, fair play, and solidarity. They also showed humility, learnt from each other’s experience and profession.

The organizing committee urged participating units to promote their achievements, apply the lessons learned to training and combat readiness, and maintain preparedness for effective response to toxic chemical and radiological incidents in real-world scenarios.

At the closing ceremony, leaders of the Chemical Corps presented commendation flags to outstanding teams and certificates of merit to collectives and individuals with outstanding results in competition events and organization.
