Vietnamese soldiers were receiving weapons on Ho Chi Minh sea trail

PANO - The Naval Command and the traditional association of those who took part in the opening of the Ho Chi Minh sea trail met this month to celebrate the 45th anniversary of the opening of this strategic route on the East Sea and the foundation of M25 Naval Corps. Vice Admiral Nguyen Van Hien, Chief of the Naval Command, chaired the meeting.

General Vo Nguyen Giap sent a letter of greeting to the meeting.

Over 600 veterans of M25 Naval corps reviewed their heroic past with many feats of arms in very difficult situations to accomplish missions assigned by the Party, the State and the Defence Ministry.

At the Saigon military port, the Naval Command also held a talk on the legendary Ho Chi Minh sea route with the participation of over 2,000 naval officers and soldiers in the northern region. Memories about martyr, doctor Dang Thuy Tram were also shared at the exchange.
